TomTom has expanded its latest map and enhancement product to cover an additional 600,000 kilometres of roadways.
Following the geographic expansion, the TomTom map now provides navigable coverage for 35.8 million kilometres of roads, covering 109 countries with combined populations of 3.6 billion people around the world.
To cover Cyprus it has launched its ConnectPlus map, adding more than 9,000 kilometres of roads. In addition, the company has added or realigned 55,000 kilometres of road
networks in Western Europe, including the updating of street names and the verification of speed limits.
ConnectPlus map is also available in the African countries of Burundi, Rwanda and Tunisia, adding in excess of 130,000 kilometres of roads to the TomTom portfolio.
For Latin America, Tom Tom has included 80,000 kilometres of roads in Mexico, while in Brazil 35 cities in the states of Parana, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro have been upgraded for navigable coverage.
Meanwhile, the company has introduced a MultiNet map in Vietnam, providing coverage to 272,000 kilmometres of roads.
